Elvis Nikiza and 5 other people run a café in Kigali.

They all fled Burundi in 2015 when the situation got very difficult. They first stayed in house rented by Flaming Chalice International and later went out on their own. They then received support through the Flaming Chalice to start a small business and they chose a café. The café is now a source of income for the 5 people involved and provides a social place for other refugees to connect when they arrive in town.

The café is more than a business, it is a social enterprise to help other refugees achieve more in their land of exile.

There are many other refugees in the next town of Nyamata and the team has decided to expand the café there and find 5 more partners to work with. 5 more partners means 5 more salaries and 5 more families that will put food on the table and send their children to school.

Flaming Chalice International is committed to help these and other refugees.

We need $5000 for them to start the new venture and improve the one in Kigali to provide even better service. With your generous donation, we can make this happen now.
